As a QA tester, I have used the overpriced Snagit video recorder for over a year on a daily basis. The software is unstable, random crashes, and more recently incompatibility issues with high-end PCs blocking me from recording simple videos. With each updated they f….k something up. I need fast and stable screen recording software without any fuss!. We will be ditching this software and the supplier. There are alternative solutions that do a better job.

Based on wording you could assume that you're buying fully supported product for 12 months, NO YOU ARE WRONG !
If you don't know release cycle of Techsmith, you will spend 140E for a product that could be supported for as little as couple weeks.
Company upon contact said to F*** O** basically and just left me with outdated 2020 (purchased 4 weeks before release of 2021) for same price as 2021.

Shocking customer service and no desire to fix a known issue with camera freezing on Mac.
If you have a Mac, I would recommend avoiding and going elsewhere. This is such a shame as I have been a Camtasia user for years, but their lack of care around fixing this issue means that I am now looking for an alternative. You don't want to be constantly re-recording things because your webcam hasn't recorded.

I have been using Snagit for many years and every year they come out with aa new version - with extra but useless features. But I am extremely upset with what I can only call scammers! - I was offered an upgrade through through there software and only after installing was told that it is a 15 day trial. I now have to remove the new software that i don't need and re-install the old version. Be careful - the upgrades are expensive and of little value and you could end up like me having to re-install the previous version
